Igburu famous HRH Ambasador Bright-Abali will be representing the Oil-Rich Southern Nigeria in the forthcoming United Nations African Climate Conference in Libreville Garbon from 29th-1st September 2022. 

As an Eminent Peace Advocate from oil bearing region of ONELGA, Rivers State, Nigeria, I have deemed it necessary that the pains and agony of my region will form a lead-discussion in the conference.

It is disheartening that we are suffering in the midst of plenty.

Topmost amongst our worries is the problem of pollution which have persistently drained our lives with prevalent terminal diseases like cancer, visual impediments, respiratory problems and organ failures which have heightened the danger and risen our mortality rate. All this environment and health problems associated to oil/gas exploration calls for urgent redress.

The multinationals IOCs and hundreds of their subsidiaries persistently and serially violating instant laws on gas flaring, Pollution, HSE rules and related offenses must be put to shame globally.

Our living water, air and land is no longer safe for use. From Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, Rivers State and Southern Nigeria as a whole, there’s urgent need for global attention to restore our climate.

The United Nation is concerned about lives of individuals, minority groups and the indigenous people of the world.

Our voice must be heard.
Our pain must be felt globally.
Our environment must be cleansed.
Our Climate must be friendly & Restored.
Our life expectancy level must rise to premium because, OIL IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE A CURSE BUT BLESSING.

AFRICA CLIMATE CONFERENCE “GARBON 2022” MUST PROFFER SOLUTION TO OUR CLIMATE PROBLEMS. ALL HANDS MUST BE ON DECK TO WIN THE WAR OF PROTECTING OUR CLIMATE & MAKE IT SAFE FOR ALL.
